What is Melanin?
Melanin is a Carbon based Bio-Chemical found in all of Nature. Melanin exists deeply in the body as well as the surface of the skin. It is responsible for pigment which causes skin to be Black, Brown, Red & Yellow.
Melanin is one of the Chemical Keys of Life. It is found in the brain and is responsible for nerve
transmission. Melanin circulating in the brain give eyes their Black & Brown Color, It Allows one to see
the full spectrum of Colors, Taste the full flavors of food and hear the full range of sounds.
Races of people are classified by the amount of melanin in their pineal gland, which is responsible for Melanin production in the entire body. Melanin in its purest form is “jet” or "crystal black" and is a powerhouse for absorbing and storing all forms of energy – including all UV light,
Sound, Radiation, Gamma, Microwave, X-Ray & Radio waves.
The reason melanin shows up black is because the chemical structure will not allow any type of energy to escape. The more energy that is absorbed the darker the melanin becomes, and therefore the darker the pigmentation.
How to take care of my Melanin?
Now that you have a better understanding of what melanin is, now we can take steps to taking care of it!
1. Getting that Sunshine
Going outside and getting some good “ol sunshine is essential for your health. By getting sun exposure your body is able to produce Vitamin D that is used to regulate hormones, balance the body in times of stress and much more. Be sure to get at least 1 hour or more of sun exposure everyday to increase the health and vitality of both you and your melanin. Be sure to not bath or shower for at least an hour after sun exposure, to allow the vitamin D to absorb into your skin.

great responsibility! and with that you must drink more water! The first step is to drink water as soon as you awaken! Not only will a nice 8oz cup of water be refreshing but it will also assist your body with hydration and the
elimination of waste and toxins it was getting rid of while you slept! The goal is to drink at least a gallon, yes you heard me a gallon of water a day! That will ensure proper hydration in the organs, brain, the elimination of waste & even proper perspiration (sweating) to occur. With that you will have more vibrant, clear & glowing skin. Now who doesn't want that!?
4. Work it Out!

that include: stretching, yoga, cardio and muscle building exercises increase circulation and oxygen to the skin, providing it with more nutrients! Which of course means healthier skin! Working out also helps a ton in relieving stress. Exercising balances your cortisol hormone levels that are present when you are stressed, which increase wrinkles, acne and depression. Exercise also increases the levels of collagen within the skin so you can stay looking young in the sun! ♥
